Happy Not-Back-To-School Day!

We celebrated not-back-to-school day by gathering with homeschooling friends at the New England Aquarium and Boston waterfront.  How are you enjoying not-back-to-school time in your area?

  1. I am jealous of your jaunt to the waterfront… I need to get back to Boston soon.

We are going to a Not-Back-To-School park day at Delaware Park tomorrow. (Buffalo City Schools don't start until tomorrow.) Since we've just moved here we're excited about going out & meeting other homeschoolers! xo

  3. This is how we spent our not-back-to-school morning http://urbanwildchild.blogspot.com :). We spent the afternoon at the library, the Peadbody Museum of Natural History & the farmers market. A wonderfully rainy day to be out-&-about-schooling in Cambridge. Would it be OK if I linked to you on my blog? Let me know!

  4. We haven't been to the aquarium in ages. Thanks for the reminder. My daughter is 14 and we homeschool in Sharon. This year, for the freshman year, she is trying blended homeschooling by taking classes at an innovative new girls school in our area.
Is your not-back-to-school your end-of-summer ritual?
I just wrote a blog post on the topic would love to hear your thoughts.
    Enjoy!

    1. Thanks Evelyn! I always like to do something a bit extra-special on our city's first day of school to celebrate the freedom and flexibility of homeschooling. Thanks for visiting the blog!
